Covid-19 FAQs

WHAT ARE WE DOING TO REDUCE RISK?

  • We have been in contact with Cornwall Council and we are following all of their guidance set out by the government. We are doing all that we can to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19.
  • We are located outside in the open air, although this is situated on a holiday park we have our own car park and we are situated away from everyone else (other than your group and the Segway instructor).
  • All sessions are limited to ONE group (max of 5) Therefore it will be a maximum of 6 to a session. (The Cornwall Segway instructor and your group)
  • Cornwall Segway will be disinfecting ALL segway handlebars/grips as well as all helmets after each session.
  • Hand sanitiser is provided for all of our customers
  • Social distancing will be imposed throughout the session. We take the Government guidelines very seriously and want to ensure that your group and our staff can enjoy the Segway session safely.
  • If you have any symptoms that are typical of COVID-19, we ask that you DO NOT attend your session.

WHAT IF YOU HAVE A SESSION BOOKED BUT ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND?

In the event that you have a session booked, but are unable to attend due to COVID-19 we ask you contact Cornwall Segway as soon as possible to inform them. We can then rearrange your session for another time (minimum of 7 days in the future)

Covid-19 FAQs

CAN YOU USE YOUR OWN HELMET?

  • Absolutely! In fact we would prefer it if you do! The helmet should be a good fit and should not have been in any big accidents that may have compromised the function of the helmet.
  • We do have plenty of helmets available and these will be cleaned and disinfected after each use.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS, BUT FEEL OKAY?

If you have ANY symptoms at all, we kindly ask that you and your family follow government guidelines and stay at home to self isolate.
IMPORTANT INFO

  • Toilets will remain closed until further notice (ie have ‘a try’ before you leave home!)
  • The office area will be closed to the public
  • Please ensure you arrive no earlier than 10 mins before your session, This is to avoid contact with previous groups.
  • A full clean down of equipment will take place after EVERY session
  • ALL bookings are to be pre-paid via the booking system. We will not be taking any payments on site
  • Please ensure your respect and follow our social distancing measures at all times
  • During your initial introduction your instructor will have to be in close proximity and potentially hold onto the handlebar to ensure you can safely get on and off and control the Segway. The instructor will be wearing a facemask and gloves for this part of the session (approx 1 minute per rider). If this is not something you are comfortable with then please speak to Cornwall Segway before making your booking.

A full risk assessment has been carried out to comply with the government guidelines.
